La Panaderia (The Bakery) is an architectural office initially started by Eva Morales Soler, David Cañavate Cazorla and Ruben Alonso Mallén studying at the School of Architecture of Seville. After spending several years in Barcelona, Berlin and Torino working, studying and participating in projects closest to art than to architecture in 2003 returned to Seville and decide to start working together. They found a place near an ancient bakery and there they found the name, they liked the idea of mixing ingredients, transforming and performing a simple and natural a task for basic, everyday life. At first they shared space and projects with CALC artists group. Now they have another space and are dedicated more and more every time to “architecture” After the first 4 years they started to finish some work with a mixture of pride in the results, customer satisfaction, and self-criticism for mistakes. Then they became aware of the complexity of the process of building “something”. They like working with the context, rather reinterpreting than inventing. Proposing solutions to problems in a contemporary way but also playing with what exists, as in a see-saw in strange balance. More Info: http://www.despachodepan.com |
